The Action promotes the European Corridor Concept for Freight as stipulated in the Regulation 913/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning a European rail network for competitive freight. The Action is implemented by Rail Net Europe (RNE) and is supported by the 38 RNE Members, which represent the major European rail Infrastructure Managers. The supporting Member States are Austria, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia, Slovakia, Hungary and the United Kingdom.
The main activities of the Actions are implemented through the following packages:
- Corridor Management
- Sales and Timetabling
- Operations and After Sales
- Corridor Statement
The results of the Action will be made available to the relevant stakeholders and will be implemented by the individual railway companies.
