Integration of Riga City and Riga Port into the TEN-T network: Completion of studies for Riga Northern Transport Corridor |

The project is part of the Via Baltica north-south road connection in the Baltic states that links the Kaliningrad region of Russia with Gdansk, Poland. It aims to connect Riga and its port to the Via Baltica (Corridor I) route, and provides the Port of Riga with direct access to the TEN-T road network.
The Action consists of the following activities:
- Elaboration of detailed technical design for two key junctions of the eastern link to the port of Riga:
- Eastern Bypass with Gauja streetand Eastern Bypass with Viestura Prospect and Meza Prospect;
- Elaboration of the basic design and related studies for the Segment Brivibas Dublieris and Jaunciema Connection of the Northern Corridor;
- Elaboration of basic design and related studies for the Segment of Northern Corridor: Eastern access roads to river crossing and the Daugava river crossing
- Traffic/toll-sensitivity and PPP related economic, legal and financial studies covering the whole of the Northern Corridor project
