Upgrade of Roma-Napoli and Torino-Novara high speed lines in order to ensure compatibility with ERTMS version 2.3.0d |

The project aims at upgrading the trackside system of high speed lines to ERTMS (SRS 2.3.0d, ETCS L2) with the following objectives:
- Gradual interoperability of network components
- Optimisation of the capacity and efficiency of existing infrastructure
- Improved safety and network reliability
The project includes distinct phases of development, implementation, test of ERTMS applications between two different suppliers (Ansaldo-Astom) and certification. It encompasses the following activities:
- Upgrade of ERTMS/ETCS on Roma-Napoli high speed line;
- Upgrade of ERTMS/ETCS on Torino-Novara high speed line.
This project has been cancelled.
