Upgrade of Augsburg-Olching section for high speed railway traffic

Part of Priority Project 17


The project is part of Priority Project 17 from Paris via Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Munich to Vienna and Bratislava, Budapest.

 

It concerns the upgrade to high speed of the railway line Augsburg-Olching. By upgrading it to four tracks, high speed traffic can be separated from regional traffic.

 

It includes the following activities: planning, as well as upgrade of interlockings, switches, catenaries, railway security and telecommunication system, noise protection, railway crossings, land acquisition and ground works.
