This project focuses on the modernisation of the Olomouc station and railway junction, part of the Czech National Transit Railway Corridor connecting the Czech Republic with Slovakia and Germany. It will complete the modernisation of the Prerov-Ceská Trebová line, which lies along Priority Project 22 railway axis Athina-Sofia-Budapest-Wien-Praha-Nürnberg/Dresden and Priority Project 23 railway axis Gdansk-Warszawa-Brno/Bratislava-Wien.
The activities encompass a study that will prepare the detailed technical design and building permits, an assessment of transportation and operational technologies, as well as proposals for an optimal scope of railway infrastructure.
It also includes the necessary operational, technical and financial documents for the construction phase. Supplemental geodetic measurements, geotechnical and civil engineering research, environmental impact research will be undertaken to propose technical solutions and determine the final budget.
