This action concerns studies and works undertaken by the two Flemish inland waterway managers (Waterwegen en Zeekanaal NV and NV De Scheepvaart) and the Flemish sea ports of Antwerp and Gent in order to comply with the RIS (River Information Services) Directive.
The main objective of the action is to improve safety, efficiency and environmental performance of inland navigation by introducing harmonised, interoperable and publicly accessible tools and information systems.
