External communications

External communications and promoting the benefits and key results of the TEN-T programme is one of the main activities of the Agency and a core objective for 2011.

In line with DG Mobility and Transport’s own policy-related communications efforts in the area of TEN-T, the Agency has produced its own multi-annual external communications strategy. This strategy provides a framework for the Agency's major external communications-related activities, bringing support to and being consistent with the Agency’s strategic goals and specific objectives. Its ultimate aim of the external communications strategy is to effectively raise awareness about the Agency, the TEN-T programme and its achievements.

This very website is one very important example of the types of tools which are being used in the Agency’s external communications activities, striving to provide value-added information highlighting the benefits and importance of the TEN-T programme as a whole. The key publications which we have produced for external dissemination are listed below for reference.

A dedicated Information and Communications Department within the Agency is tasked with carrying out these activities, working horizontally with all of the Agency’s operational and administrative units, along with DG Mobility & Transport, as well as a growing number of external contacts in order to successfully implement the strategy.
